Orlando Woman Faces Felony Charges After Laser Patient Experienced Serious Injuries

August 5, 2025

An Orlando woman working as a provider in a med spa faces felony charges after performing a laser procedure without a medical license and treating the resulting damages herself instead of referring her client to a licensed medical professional.

In April 2024, an Orlando woman provided laser treatment to a client’s “double chin area” in exchange for permission to post her photos online. The procedure allegedly caused burns when the laser was left sitting on the area too long. Offering to fix the damage herself, she invited the client to her home for eight follow-up procedures. When the client was eventually referred to a licensed specialist, she had necrosis developing under her chin and was sent to the hospital for urgent treatment.

The Orlando woman is charged with 9 counts of practicing medicine without a license, 9 counts practicing health care profession without a valid license, and 2 counts of dispensing medical drugs without a license.
