With HB260 Kentucky Revises Barbering and Cosmetology Statute

Kentucky recently enacted into law HB260 which makes several changes to the Barbering and Cosmetology regulations.  It also adds definitions and regulations for Estheticians allowing them to perform skin care and beautifying in an esthetic salon licensed by the board.  It however prohibits Estheticians from performing a number of common medical spa procedures unless they are under the immediate supervision of a physician. Those procedures include injecting Botox or collagen, laser treatments, electrolysis, tattooing, permanent makeup, micro blading, or piercing.
